Hello new friend,

I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Melissa. I am a wife to Josh, in our second decade of marriage! We have three children, twin boys who are 12 and a daughter who is 10. We are unexpected homeschoolers who are loving the journey. I also have the priveledge of being the Kids Director at our church.

I, like most other millennial mothers, spent the formative years of my adolescence pondering which song lyrics to make my away message while I bought a purse off eBay, the Lauren Conrad from Laguna Beach white purse with the silver rings on the handle to be exact. Needless to say I have spent equal amount of my adult life pondering starting a blog. So here I am.

I’m not totally sure where we’ll go but as a working homeschooling mom who loves home making and simplicity I promise it will be fun. I guess in my 30’s I’m really learning not to put myself into a box but rather let every piece of me live a little.

As I type this it’s already way past my bedtime so I’ll leave you with this. Tomorrow is my favorite day of the week. My family will start the day at church, I have a Nicholas Sparks book with my name on it as I sit on my big cozy chair alternating watching the football game, reading and, napping.
